- Restricted Human Access: No humans at DemoFast will access your recording data unless you explicitly request support, or it is required for security investigations or legal compliance.
Chrome Extension - What Data We Collect
When you use the DemoFast browser extension to create demos, we collect:
- Visual Data: Screenshots captured during demo recording, used solely to generate your demo content.
- Interaction Metadata: Click events, scroll positions, and HTML element data to generate step-by-step instructions.
- Tab Information: URLs and page titles of tabs you record for demo context.
- Authentication: Secure tokens to keep you logged in.
All demo data is encrypted and stored securely on Cloudflare R2 servers.
Chrome Extension - Permission Justifications
The DemoFast extension requests the following permissions:
- Storage: Save your preferences and temporary recording data before upload.
- Tabs: Identify which tab you're recording and manage recording state.
- Scripting: Inject the recording overlay and capture click events on pages.
- Notifications: Alert you when demos are saved or errors occur.
- Host Permissions: Allow recording on any website you choose to demo.
What Types of Information Does DemoFast Collect?
From a site visitor to a customer we collect several different types of information but in a broader sense it can be separated into two categories:
Personal Information
Most of the information that we receive is personal in nature, such as Name, Registered Email Address, Contact Information, and Company Name, Mailing addresses, geolocation, etc.
Non-Personal Information
All the other information that does not constitute as personal information, such as the website you have visited before entering our website, how you have interacted with our pages, email, screen, with linked clicks, duration and all such information will be regarded as non-personal information.
It is noteworthy that we do not collect or store your credit card or any other financial information and as such information shall be processed by payment gateways.

DemoFast is only responsible for the data and information collected on its platform or website. We do not take any responsibilities for any other website that are not owned or operated by us. Could My Information Be Transferred to Other Countries?
Your information could be transferred to other countries where we have stationed our employees remotely. However, such information is to be retained and processed within our servers and system, and no such information will be disclosed publicly until required as per this privacy policy and terms of service.
Individual Data Subject's Rights - Data Access, Portability and Deletion
We are committed to helping our customers meet data subject rights requirements. DemoFast processes or keeps all personal data with compliant providers that have been thoroughly reviewed. We store all data for up to 5 years unless your account is deleted or subscription is cancelled, in which case we dispose of all data in accordance with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, but we will not hold it longer than 60 days.
We are aware that if you are working with customers, you need to be able to provide them with the ability to access, update, retrieve and remove personal data. You can manage and delete user data through our dashboard. Our customer support team is here to answer any questions you might have about data management.
Do Not Track
We do not meddle with certain browser features through which a customer can opt for refraining DemoFast from collecting data should the customer opt for such options.
Amendment or Correction of Data
Customers can opt to amend or correct their personal data from their respective accounts. For data information which are not amendable for correction from the customer portal, they may opt to contact us.
Amendment to This Policy
DemoFast reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. Customers regarding the changes of the privacy policy shall be duly notified to their respective email addresses and via portal notification. This page will also be updated with the amendment of the policy.
